2010 Aspinwall borough yearly Resident Parking Program Application and Qualifications
To qualify for a resident parking permit you must be a resident of Aspinwall. Payments of all fines, parking tickets, water, sewage, taxes, including wage, school, business and property taxes should be up to date. Your vehicle should be registered at your Aspinwall address.
If you are a NEW RESIDENT go to www.state.pa.us Pa Keyword DMV to change your owner’s card and driver’s license, or pick up a change of address form at the Municipal Building. Note: On your insurance cards, vehicle registration & drivers license list your address as Aspinwall, 15215, not Pittsburgh or Sharpsburgh.
Company vehicles, or non-resident vehicles being used by family members (students etc...) We require a copy of the current owner’s registration and a copy of the residents current driver’s license with the Aspinwall address. It is a PA state requirement that all drivers apply for change of address on drivers license and owners cards within 15 days of moving.
How to apply: Drop off or mail your Owners registration/ Drivers license to the Municipal building -217 Commercial Ave. Permits will be active for a period of one year from the date of issue. Permits hang from the rear view mirror while parked on Borough Streets. This permit will not interfere with your line of vision. It does not need to be removed when driving.
Vehicles parked on the streets in violation of the residential and one hour limits not displaying a resident permit will be tagged – fine is $15.00.
If you are a resident and you receive a ticket prior to obtaining a permit you will receive one warning on that ticket then application must be made to obtain a permit. Subsequent tickets for one hour and resident only violations will be processed for payment. |

Brilliant Avenue Lot permits
$125.00 per year paid in advance
$65.00 for 6 month permit paid in advance
$36.00 for 3 month permit paid in advance.
Field Avenue Permits
$100.00 per year paid in advance
$55.00 for 6 month permit paid in advance
$30.00 for 3 months paid in advance
Permits will be availabe the first week of January 2010. No permits issued in advance of payment. Cash or Check only payable to the Borough of Aspinwall. Apply at Muncipal Office, 217 Commercial Ave, or mail check to same. Call Sandy at 412-781-0213 with any questions. All permits must be renewed by expiration date. Vehicles parked after that date with expired permits will be tagged and fines enforced.
Cost of replacement for lost permits is $6.00. Any vehicle not displaying the permit in its proper location ( to be hung from the rear view mirror)while parked in this area will be tagged and fines enforced. Parking on residential streets is discouraged and limited to One Hour on every block. Metered parking is limited to 2 hours per vehicle per day.
